Tank Entry

  1. Midnight's 300g Build

It's been a very long time since I have updated, so this is well over due.

First things first, due to all of Melev's tank troubles I have had to work with Marineland in resolving some possible issues. As you know I was mimicking Melev's tank design but using my own dimensions. Kevin over at Marineland has been working very hard with me to ensure that all will be ok.

I did give thoughts about scrapping the whole big tank idea, But things just didn't seem proportional. ...
  2. Midnight's 300g Build: The stand has arrived

Not much has happened recently with the tank. I have been super busy doing other things around the house and trying to line up other contractors to get various things done.

    I wasn't able to stay all day so I didn't get ...
  4. Melev's Boosted RODI Installed

Today I installed the Boosted RODI unit (from Melev's Reef) and had the neighbor over to look at the garage. The neighbor is Mike Laforge who owns Pavement Pros and Concrete Solutions of the Carolina's in York, SC. He does exceptional work from standard driveways to concrete patios. If your in the Charlotte Metro and need concrete work I would highly recommend his work.

First order of business was getting a water supply to the garage. I tee'd off of the ice maker line that was already ...
  5. Midnight's 300g Build Some Parts and Stand draft

Last Thursday we closed on the new house in Charlotte. The family and I went to the mountains of NC for the weekend and I snuck down to the Atlanta Reef Club for their frag swap and presentations. The swap was great, lots of fraggers and some vendors with their products up on display. Not only were they there to help explain their products but many of them contributed to the raffle. The presentations were on sumps, plumbing, and aquascaping. Marc Levenson spent about two hours on his topic ...
