well it's been a long few months now. first i wanted to move my sump to the basement, both for a larger one, and to take advantage in the cooling, and also to set up a real refugium. so in sept, while working insane hours i started. i get most of the plumbing done except for a few parts that i didn't have time to get. my town isn't well known for having salt stuff, and the only place that sells plumbing parts that i needed was only open when i was working. i still had my small sump running ...
hi all. i have a 29g sump and it runs fine. but my new pump will handle more flow so i want to upgrade.lol i have a 55g with a cracked center brace that i can use. i have the wife's permission to set it up downstairs and plumb it to my tank. the 29 has a ref, skimmer and return section. i was thinking to still use it, just as a skimmer and ref, then drain the water into the 55, half to the return section and half to another ref. the pump is the snapper hybrid, so will do around 1800g at 10'. ...
